The INSU-AA national programs wish to express their deep concern about the possible reorganization of Section 17 of the CNRS. The vagueness in which this reorganization seems to have been initiated, and the various proposals circulating without any discussion with the astro community having been organized by our hierarchy, have only made the situation worse.
A letter (link here, in French) has been sent to the DAS INSU (Nicolas Arnaud) and INSU-AA (Martin Giard) on Thursday Dec 14, 2023. We hope it will give a clear idea of our points of view and enable us to work together smoothly in the future.
